"Zornitza - Milen Zhelev" was established in 1998, and has its main office based in the village of Kran, Municipality of Kazanlak. Its activity is in the field of the cultivation of typically Bulgarian essential-oil plants such as the oil-bearing rose ( rosa damascena ), lavender ( lavandula verra ), peppermint ( mentha piperita ), common balm ( melissa officinalis ), sage ( salvia officinalis ), chamomile ( matricaria chamomilla ), thyme ( thymus ), valerian ( valeriana officinalis ), etc. The company is the only successor of generations that were long connected with the cultivation of the oil-bearing roses and rose oil manufacture.
